All was well

With the release of the 7th book this morning at 7:01am. Many rushed down to the Border’s at Wheelock Place to experience the entire hype of the last book. I happened to have gotten myself a copy as well.

I happened to hear about fake leaks circulating the torrents and IRCs last night, where many have been avidly rushing to sites to obtain the 1.8 megabyte pdf file that have proved to be nothing more than a fanfic written to fool the masses. I, on the other hand, managed to have been slipped the original leak from Chee Han online last night, which Janson claims to be a fake, and Zhengyi brought startled to. I had the last laugh because at least after scanning the entire book through the entire night yesterday, I was glad I didn’t waste my time after finding out the truth this morning when Zhengyi sent me the JK Rowling preview reading of the first paragraphs of the first chapter: the Dark Lord Ascending.

I must say, that the plot was surprisingly predictable, yet astoundingly clever. However contradictory and lousy the title the 7th book may be: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows(it doesn’t make sense because Hallows are more of Angels and deathly makes them look evil), it really makes the entire 7 book saga such an establishment in the world of literature.

All stories end somehow, just that the way in which they end just makes the reader feel many things. Even though wikipedia managed to churn out a 2 and a half page long plot summary on their pages, I still do recommend people to just finish off this book from where you left off. Those who are too lazy to get the book or simply can’t be bothered to read thick books, just wait for the movies to come. Half-blood Prince will be open in Cinemas on 2008 and the final instalment should hit the big screens in late 2009 – early 2010. I apologise for spoiling the story to those who haven’t read it on Sekainome.
